Hornsea Ladies won promotion to the Yorkshire Ladies Division 1 next season after winning the Division 2 title.
After the five league matches Hornsea had just a single point lead (and 17 shot difference) over second place Doncaster, with Leeds, Thornaby, Selby and New Earswick below them in the league table. The twenty four ladies who represented the club during the season were Sylvia Charter (Captain), Ann Ash, Dorothy Bartle, Brenda Buttall, Irene Cheer, Angie Cleveley, Sue Cotton, Sylvia Dunn, Janet Farnsworth, Margaret Ginnelly, Di Jones, Betty Lawrensen, Bridget Lee, Kath Lockwood, Jenny Marshall, Di Oldroyd, Patsy Paddy, Doreen Padgett, Ursula Pullen, Sue Towle, Beryl Walker, Anne Watson, Lis Watson and Cath Winter.
