Enjoying your bowling and want to do more? There are plenty off opportunities. Just keep an eye on the notice boards and be willing to try new opportunities.

Mens and Ladies Club Teams

The men’s Over 55’s B team, Saturday Yorkshire League B Team and Ladies Teams are all looking for new players. Games are played in teams of four players with two woods each and these teams are a great way to experience bowling at different venues with new colleagues.

NEW Tuesday Improvers Pairs League

Due to demand for another league for newer members, a new Improvers League is starting on 6th January 2026 with players taken from the expression of interest list on the board. We have six teams but could fit two more if interest shown before 13th January.

Leagues – lists go up in February/March for Summer Leagues. Winter League lists go up in March and stay on the Noticeboards until August.

Subs Lists – these stay up all season and can be added to at any time

Club Competitions – Entries open September – October and these run on a knock out basis over winter with a finals weekend in Spring

Club Teams – check out the Men’s and Ladies’ Noticeboards where you can nominate for teams over the season or in some cases for individual games

County Teams – Check out the County Noticeboard (nearest lockers) for Nomination forms for County teams and competitions

National Competitions – entries open April to early June for Winter competitions – look on the EIBA website and our National Competitions webpage

Winter Leagues

Winter League draws are up on the notice boards but you can still add your name to the subs lists for each league.

Lists for 2026/27 leaggues will go up in March 2026 while along with summer league lists.

Everyone is welcome to join any of the Bowls Drives (Tues & Wed 12.30pm) or the Saturday Brunch Club (9.30am) any week – just pay your normal rink fee and join in the fun

Winter Leagues are as follows:

Monday 10.30am – Triples League,

Monday 2.30pm – Open Pairs League, Monday 7.00pm – Open Pairs (Sets)

Tuesday 10.30am – Aussie Pairs League, Tuesday pm – Bowls Drive, 2.30pm Improvers Pairs

Wednesday 9am – Prom social bowls, Wednesday 10.30am – Vets Triples League

Wednesday 12.30pm – Social Bowls Drive, Wednesday 7.00pm – Open Triples League

Thursday 10.30am – Open Triples League Thursday 2.30pm – Aussie Pairs League

Friday 10.30am – Beginners and Improvers Pairs League Friday 7pm – Open Triples League

Saturday 9.30am – Brunch Club Social Bowls Drive

Friday morning Beginners & Improvers’ Pairs Leagues

Anyone who is new to league bowling, or has been playing for less that two years in leagues is welcome to join this league. Anyone who has won a league is excluded from this league but can join the new Improvers league that is starting on 6th January at 2.30pm on Tuesdays. Both are Aussie Pairs (2-4-2) leagues as this format gives players more chance to experience all aspects of the game. The Friday league will run for 14 weeks from September to Christmas and then restart with a new league in January (to give late starters a chance to join or for people to change partners or drop out they so wish). League sign up sheets are on the board.

This league has now restarted for January to April, along with any leagues that had less than the full 12 teams (i.e. Mon 2.30pm, Thurs 2.30pm & Mon 7pm).

Club Teams

All full members are invited to nominate themselves for any of the club teams. Lists are up for the Men’s Saturday teams and the Men’s Over 55 teams as well as to play for the County in various matches (see respective boards). Ladies team lists go up a couple of weeks before each game.

Nomination sheets are also up for the Denny, Egham and Top Club teams which are all National competitions
