A wonderful day of bowls and friendship

Hornsea welcomes the Yorkshire Ladies President’s Cup
Today, Hornsea Indoor Bowls Club was delighted to host the Ladies from many different clubs across Yorkshire for the Indoor Bowls President’s Cup.
We’re especially proud that our very own Hornsea lady, Sylvia Charter, is the incoming President for 2026-2027. Congratulations, Sylvia!
A warm welcome to the teams who joined us from:
Doncaster, New Earswick, Selby, Harrogate, Hornsea, Redcar, North Cave, York
Before the game, the ladies enjoyed freshly baked scones with jam made by our very own member Stella Warnes.
They then played an 18-end game, followed by a buffet and a lovely chat to round off the day.
Thank you to everyone who helped make it such an enjoyable occasion!
A look back at the day
Good company, great bowls and a warm Hornsea welcome.
