As a members club, owned and run by members, all full members were encouraged to attend. The evening included a review of the year, annual financial results and election of directors. Since the AGM, Jon Edkin has volunteered and been co-opted onto the board as a third director.
Who does what
Directors are unpaid volunteers who oversee the running of the club to ensure the assets of the club are maintained, the club meets it’s legal and finaincial obligations, and a structure is in place to deliver it’s objectives of being a leading indoor bowls club and community facility. The day-to-day running of the club is delegated to the Club Manager and the decisions on leagues, competitions, teams and club rules (changes and enforcement) are managed by the Bowls Committee whose AGM is held in April each year.
Your Views Matter
The directors, management committee and members are seeking the views by way of a suggestions sheet. If you have any suggestions for events, leagues, menus, clubs, activities or any other relevant matter, please grab a form from reception and return into the club comments box. All letters and forms left there or at reception marked for the attention of the Directors or Bowls Committee, will be reviewed at their respective meetings and all suggestions will be considered. Responses will be posted in committee minutes or fed back directly if a name is given on the suggestion form. This is Your Club and Your Views Count!
